About TCBG

This is an interesting time to be a working content creator, strategist, and writer.

On CNN.com, I can read about how we're making solid steps toward solving for near-limitless, society-changing fusion power.

At the same time, on Reddit, I can watch an old man in a red hat and a young man in a blue bathrobe decide to throw fists in the dairy aisle of a grocery store.

All the while, an AI is helping me create a tintype-style photo of myself working on a Macbook Pro in an 18th-century office building. And when, without being prompted, the AI decides to give me a hat, I know the picture is picture-perfect.

My Dad told me this story once; His grandparents lived on a family farm. One day, toward the end of their lives, they bought home a microwave.

From that point on, whenever Dad and his brothers and sisters would visit, his Grandfather would take them, again and again, to put a potato in the microwave and watch in silence as it "baked" in just a few minutes.

When each potato was done, he would take it out, just stare at the potato, then at his grandkids, then back to the potato. He'd then shuffle off to grab another potato to put in the microwave...

Dad. I get it now.
